FileHippo or CNet For Download?

 FileHippo or CNet For Download?

Which is better between the two for search for freeware software download: FileHippo (www.filehippo.com) or CNET (cnet.com) ?

CNET:

CNET tracks all the latest consumer technology breakthroughs and shows you what's new, what matters and how technology can enrich your life. We give you the information, tools and advice that will help you decide what to buy and how to get the most out of the tech in your life.

Reviews of CNET:

CNet has been terrible with their installers. I have had to download their installer to download the actual software installer so I can then install what I thought I downloaded in the first place. Then, many of the installers the keep in their repository have junkware, toolbars, etc. tacked on the installer.

Filehippo, without a doubt. As Hovsep says, CNET (a.k.a. download.com) has its own installers which include adware or worse.

OVERALL REVIEW:  BAD

FILEHIPPO:

FileHippo is a download website that offers computer software for Windows. ... There is also aFileHippo App Manager, a free program that scans a computer for outdated software and offers links to more recent versions. The website is funded by user donations and third-party advertising.

Reviews of FILEHIPPO:
filehippo, not as many ads, plus all the previous versions of that software are right there. another good site is majorgeeks.com its good also. i have never got any bad software from filehippo or majorgeeks.com.
